So I need help. I have an 01 1500 with the 5.9L. I just sold it but becuase the K&N housing is cracked the shop wont smog it by law or something. Then the people who bought it have been driving it and now the check engine light is on. But thats another story. I am looking for a replacement K&N housing or the stock setup. Can anyone help?

 

I had a 06 hemi stock setup dont think compatible. cant you get a flexilbe tube from like home depot or something.

 

it has a gas or diesel engine? Its a 1500 5.9?

call K&N... I forget the gals name who helped me but they will be able to ship you out one to replace it. I'm guessing it's cracked where it bolts down onto the TB? common crack area. Mine did it and eventually broke and sucked a piece of plastic into a cylinder. bent the plug ground and out it went. probably coated a few things along the way but did no real damage...

 

I also had a crack under the lip of my K&N intake tube on my 1998 Ram 1500 (the crack was hard to spot so God knows how long it was suckin dirt). K&N replaced it, no questions. Give them a call.

 

Did u have the original receipt because I don't have that. I should call them and get it fixed so that i can give it to my neighbor. I went and bought the stock housing becuase I just wanted to get rid of the thing.
