Why not get one custom built with removable sides that double as ramps for the quads?
When there is a will there is a way, (of course it would have to be the will of the rich uncle that just croaked)or maybe I should saywhen there is a thick wallet there is a way!

There is no problem money can't solve!

I can built ramps to get onto a flatbed with out removable side but you are right the removable sides would come in handy if you were loading anything else.

My fear is that they would bend. My quad weighs 640lbs empty.
Have the sides beefed up and call it a day. Can't be THAT hard to do ...

So being that I am on a ranch everyday I know a thing or two about flatbeds. You can always tell a custom built flatbed and a store bought one. The store bought ones just don't fit right and always have things that don't really fit on them. The custom built ones come ready to use and abuse and still look good at the end of the day. I know people who have built them out of steel, aluminam, and the fake trex wood stuff. All in all I would look around and see if you could find someone to custom build. With the price of metal right now its probably going to run $6K minimum but it would be what you want and nothing but what you want. I could get some pictures of my buddies flatbeds and post them if you interested. Let me know. I could probably get one to build you one but your a little far away.

All pics/ ideas are welcome. I have the tools to build a steel bed, but I am really liking the aluminum. I dont have a weldercapable of aluminum. Also thinking a hiden gooseneck hitch also would be nice. As for custom built, that be the way I'd go. I haven't talked to any of my connections yet, I just swung by the shop that does the prefabbed ones, they do nice work. The guys is supposed to email some pics here next week of a few trucks/ beds
