that would of been alot better than black, ive always bought tan and never considered black untill this truck. i had leather on my first car ( yes i made the car mistake once) and i told my self never again so now that i got it again i put a set of seat covers on it. i cant complain no more! i must say the heated seats are nice in the winter tho, it takes these trucks like an hour to put any heat out so the seats are nice to get you warn in a hurry.

5.9 and 4speed auto... 3.73's I personally was in the same boat as you.. I had the choice between the 5.9 or 6.7 and went the 5.9 route.

My 2 cents is if you have to have an auto I would go 6.7 auto 3.73. If you can handle the manual, get the 5.9 6 speed and 3.73.

How do I determine what rear end I have 4.10 or 3.73? It is a 06 5.9 auto

there is a 50 dollar charge for 4.10 gears on the sticker. and also I am runing about 2200 rpm at 75mph with 3.73. With 4.10 the rmps would run alot higher

I pull about once a month or better. Mine is a 373 with auto 4 speed. I get about 15-16 pulling and about 18-20 on the highway. My trailer with the horses is prob about 4500 lbs and i really don't know its back there other than in the hills. I am glad I got the 373. Pleanty of torque and a bit better on the walllet at the pump. If you can keep it below 72 or 2000 rpm's the mpg is not bad. Just my oppinion but from what I have read go with the 5.9. If you got a 06 and are tired of t already, you can always get the 6.7 when its got some time on it and they work out the flaws.

He is asking about the 6 speed AUTO guys. I honestly havent talked to anyone that has the new 6 speed auto. I think you can only get it with the 6.7, I could be wrong. I have had 2 06's in the last year, both were 5.9's with 3.73's and the 4sp auto and love them both. I personally wouldnt touch the 6.7, not while the option of the 5.9 is still there. I am sure in about 5 years or so when I trade this one in I will get stuck with the new emissions crap but why do it now when there is a choice in the matter?

Not to dismiss your opinion which is valid, but I have driven both the 5.9L w/4-speed auto and the 6.7L w/6-speed auto. I like the new engine/trans better. It is smooth, quiet, and powerful. As far as being untested and new, the basic warranty from Dodge covers 3yr/36,000 and the engine and emissions are covered by 5yr/100,000, so I'm comfortible with the purchase.
