btw, I think I read somebody say something to the affect of "I wonder how the youg guys can afford this expensive hobby" or somehting like that, and I just wanted to say (proudly) I have gotten myself where I am today by myself (I've worked since before it was legal and payed my own way through college). The only thing my parents ever gave me was encouragement (which, btw, does count for alot, and I feel bad for the people who didn't get it from their parents). Anyway, the only reason I had to say that was because I hate all the kids that are about my age that run around braggin about their ****, but in reality all they pay for at most is the actuall truck payment (some don't even pay that), but they still live at home in their parents basement , parents pay their insurance, and I even know guys who get gas money from mommy.
It just seems to me that there is a little more pride in what you do/buy if you do it/ buy it yourself, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I was just meeting with a client for the last hour who's parent are actually paying me to build him a new house, and it got me all mad. The kid has no pride and dosen't even know it... it's sad really.
Sorry for all that guys. Oh well this thread is so long nobody will ever read this anyway.

I really admire people who take the bull by the horns and just flat out ride it rather than complain about having to. BIG TIME props to you !!!

Thanks for the responses guys, I really didn't expect them. I'm actually kinda embarassed now that I even wrote it.
anyway...
I completly agree. I plan on having "enough" money when I start to have kids, but I sure as hell ain't gonna just give um everything they ask for.
also..
this is true, funny, and sad all at the same time.
I'm glad to see people share my same opinion. Lata
anyway...
I tip my hat to you Sir, if more poeple were brought up that way the world would be a much better place.
also..
But if you drive by a high school parking lot, the students are driving nicer cars than the teachers! hehehe

Names are important, I had to change my dogs name when I go her at 4 months old to keep me out of jail.
They were calling her little girl, and I could not see it going good places, you don't want to being running around the nieghborhood yelling come here little girl I got something good for you, don't make me tie you up again

Finny, didn't you say you were 15? Do you even have a driver's license? Brings back memories, I was working well before 15 also like you, and when I turned 15 I bought my first truck (93 ford ranger 3.0l v6 5spd). Anyway, my parents were like, "what do you need a truck for, you don't even have a driver's license" and I was like ,"don't worry about it, I'm just thinkin' ahead."
