anyone install sill plates or door protectors?

I got a set of DODGE sill plate protectors (stainless steel) They were off ebay used so the stick tape is kinda no good anymore. what would be a logical way to install them? glue, silicone or new sticky tape?

3M 5lb double sided tape..

Grey foam tape, with red outer plastic coating... which you peel off to expose the adheive...

Just use a thin sticky tape, if the sticky tape is too thick they will get dings and dents in them easier. How much were they? I would like to find some too
