I worked with a guy who DID NOT CHANGE HIS OIL EVER. Of course he wouldn't buy anything but the cheapest truck either

 

I was freinds with a guy in my teen years and after about 6 months of having his first car I was looking under the hood for some reason and checked his oil. I asked him when the last time he changed it and he said "oh, your supposed to change it? I just add a little sometimes".

 

My cousin drove his around with NO oil all day because he didn't have the money to fix the leak or buy more oil[sm=chairshot.gif]

 

Some people can really make you feel smart sometimes.

 

i believe its valvaline (how ever u spell it) but soon going to AMSOIL!

 

Delo 400 every 3k + Fleetguard. I can get it for my favorite price, and that is the only reason I run it.

 

I use Shell Rotella 15-40 in my truck. I run a rescue squad for our Sheriff's Department and in 1995 we purchased our first heavy rescue truck. The service center advised us to use Shell Rotella. We now have two heavy rescue trucks and we still use Shell. We change oil every 100 hrs. The two trucks do not get alot of miles but alot of idle time. Also extreme use as the truck goesfrom 0-highway speed in minutes at -20'F. They sit outside but are plugged in. We have been very satisfied with the lube schedule.

 

I usually run Amsoil but currently have mobil delvac in there to flush the motor, which reminds me I should be swapping it out soon.

 

i dont have a cummins but i use amsoil wherever possible they make a great fluid that is proven to work great!

 

definately what I was thinking as well lol. let's see 45k dollar truck and you wanna trust ten bux worth of oil to keep it running,
