i want to give a warm welcome also but i dont think our friend is coming back
. kybiddad, if you go thru the other posts thats the most commen reply when somthing of this nature is posted from a new guy or someone has upgraded somthing. i dont know much about finding out whats on there but i do know speakle was right when he said they are suprisingly fast... if this is your first turbo diesel that could be somthing but the black smoke isnt normal without upgrades. to be honest with a truck being stock except for an air upgrade i wouldent consider drilling an egt probe anywhere because factory settings are already fine tuned. bring it to the dealer like everyone else is saying because there is a possibly warrenty viod there if they catch it b4 u do. and after you read all these replies and find out whats diffrent let us know, and.... POST PICTURES!
