Default Clearing out codes

Is there any way to clear the engine codes on a 00 CTD without using a scan tool?

I don't know, I'd take it to your local auto parts place and have them do it. Autozone does, not sure about anymore.

your best bet is to remove the battery terminals for 30 or more seconds... that should clear it. It did on my 2000 gasser...

I would take it to Autozone, but the closest one is about an hour or more away. Makes life fun if you forget parts. I'll give the battery terminal disconnect a try. Thanks guys
