I have the prodigy. Works great. Better than others I've had.

Good prices here. http://rvwholesalers.com/

I also bought the wiring harness for $12. No splicing.

I agree with the Prodigy and the harness they sell for it, it's pretty much plug and play. I had a different cheapy type that worked on time, I didn't like it much. The progidy is way better, it is like the old pendulum types except it uses an electrnonic gyro and can be mounted at an angle. If you get the Prodigy make sure of waht version your getting, I think the latest is version 3. Last time I looked on the above link they were selling version 2.

Don't get a pendulum one, go with all solid state (no moving parts) they are a lot more reliable. They all save the same purpose, some just have more features. Mine is a drawtiti activator II, got brand new on eBay for $60.
I like the prodigy but I think I may also like the solid state. How does the solid state hook up to your trucks brakes?

The prodigy is a solid state. The only other "solid state" one is the time activated one I was talking about, believe me you don't want that kind. Both types plug up under the dashon the fire wall behind the parking brake. If you get one that offers the plug and play harness you don't have to splice into that pigtail harness that came with the truck. If you have a camping world near you, go look at them in person, and whatever you do don't pay someone to hook it up for you. It is really easy.

I have a prodigy too, I love it. Just wire it to your harness and plug in it up behind your emerg brake. Simple to install and easy to use. Heres a pic of where it goes

Is there a fuse or relay that needs to be installed or is it already in?

no fuse or relay required...just plug and play! It will take you longer to figure out where you want to mount it then to actually install the thing if you buy the premade harness

The same way, all solid state means is that there are no moving parts such as a pendulum

you will make an adjustment on the brake unit per the manual and from there it should do the rest.
