Couldn't you have spent the rest of the day catching and releasing? That's what I do when I fish anyway.

I loved going after Kings, Dad was stationed up at Eglin for a few years and we kept that 20 foot deep V out there till we ran out of frezzer room.

Destin pass can be a fun place at times to get through, but it kept you on your toes

Nice fish. Once you get use to eating those you won't ever want trout or bass again.

pfft ... when was the last time YOU had a trout or bass living in the fishing capital of the world !!!

Speaking of ... did I ever tell you about the time I went Marlin fishing when I was there ( Kona ) ? The day before I go out was the Wahi-ni ( sp ) tournament. I was standing on the dock watching these girls hang up one big fish after another. I was JACKED with excitement !! I couldn't wait to get out there !!

The next day, I chartered a boat ( Renegade ? ) that was owned ( or so I was told ) by Rev. Moon. I'm thinking GREAT, I've got God on my side, this is going to be a great day !!

Basicaly, I would up spending 2 weeks pay on an 8hr boat ride. I didn't even catch a minnow.

it's fun. . .you just have to watch who you go with and how many will be on the boat. generaly the 1st mate works on tips and the capt. and 1st mate will clean the fish for a price. since this was through the military I didnt have to worry about that. and the 1st mate was an ex-1SG of a medical unit. very cool guy

he was so excited about someone wanting to do bill fishing he wasnt able to get any sleep the night before
