Lost a family member today.
My son was somehwat followed home by a kitten yesterday, cant be more than 4 weeks old. It was dirty, looked like a dogs chew toy (not injured) so I told him to go put it in the woods. Well, wife came home and I felt bad so it got a flea bath(outside of course) and is now sleeping in a towel on my porch. We got it to eat a piece of a vienna sausage but it wont drink much water. Gums are as white as paper, dont think he will make it. I know how you feel, this cat has been here for 24 hours and I will be bothered if it dies.
Sorry to hear about your loss, cmnspwr. I know exactly how you feel,
and you have my sympathy.
Whenever you think about Blizzard, think of your putting him to sleep
as a profound act of love... you didn't want him to suffer that way,
unnecessarily, to the end. As hard as it was to go through with that,
you couldn't have given your cat a more precious gift, given the
circumstance.
RIP Blizzard...
and you have my sympathy.

Our thoughts are with you and yours, no fun for sure.
We had to put our cat of 15 years down in January of this year, then our dog of 17 years in April, so we know what you are going through.
