Default Anyone ever rebuild their own VP44??

I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried to rebuild their own VP44 before. I'm about to put a FASS in my truck and am worried that I did damage to my pump when the LP went out awhile back and replaced it with a Carter. I found a heavy duty rebuild kit, but was just wondering what everyone thought.

I think you would be better off buying a new or rebuilt one.

I would have to agree with Drew, I have taken taken apart and reassembled a Stanadyne DB4(different pump yes but same concept) and it was no simple task to reassemble.

I agree. I just thought I would see what everyone thought since I came across the rebuild package. I'm hoping to not have to have mine rebuilt, but I'm preparing myself in case I do have to.
