my friend is getting a truck and i am wondering if it is easy to change a dually to a single wheel axle?

how much $$ will it be?

Not much if you do it yourself, if the axles are the same size, just swap out the dually hubs and it should bolt right up

 

what about the flairs?

 

I havent measured it directly, but I believe the dually axels are a little shorter than the single axel. I may be wrong with the AAM axels, but it is something to think about. also if you do go for a SRW, you would have to get a new bed.

 

They make dually fenders, you can cut your stockers and bolt these on. They come out looking really clean like the bed was made like that. Duallys aren't different bed, they are SRW beds with wide fenders. Search yahoo for dually fenders.
