4.10's????
O crap, I can not believe the amount of stupid questions that I have been asking lately, it is rediculous. Anyway, when I bought my truck I told the dealer what I wanted, one of which was 4.10 gears, he hooked me up with the truck and said it had everything I requested. I never thought to double check the 4.10 option. I guess I didn't know that it cost exra for 4.10's. On the window sticker it dosen't say 4.10 or 3.73, so my question is how do I find out what I got? Ever since I got it I haven't even thought about whether the dealer lied to me or not, as the gearing has always seemed very low (in favor of the 4.10's, which is what I requested). The only info I can give you is - at 70mph it is at approx. 2200-2300 rpm (with my slightly larger dia than stock tires), so with the stock tires back on I guess the rpm's would be a little more than that. I guess if I have 3.73's I would not be to mad since I am actually really happy with the gearing. Please help me, I'm very curious now.
I wonder what mine is too. Someone said there is a sticker inside the glove box and on the engine. I looked both places and didnt find anything. Wish I knew.I get upto about 70 and it doesnt feel like there is any speed left. I dont know but let me find out out if you learn to figure the gear ratio.

Because 4.10 is an OPTION, that is typically the only time you see it listed just like anti-spin differential. I recently requested my build sheet from dodge using this link and they emailed a nice list giving me every option on my truck. http://www-5.dodge.com/wccsapp/unive...amp;category=U

Well I have been trying to do some searching on here for past posts, and I found one where Drue was talking about the different trannies and rear end configurations, and according to that post (assuming I have a G56 tranny), then there was only one choice for the rear end, 3.73's. He said that the G56 has a naturally low gearing to start with so they only offered 3.73's to go with it (Drue, please correct me if I miss read all of this). If this is true then the stealership lied straight to my face (not surprising), I guess I'm OK with it though since I think the gearing came out good anyway.
BKSRAM - do you know if your 6speed is a G56?? where is reverse gear, is it left and back?

From what I have heard, Drew is correct and you can only get 3.73 gears with the G56 transmission. I have the G56, and I'm turning about 2200 RPM at 70 mph. It definitely feels like very low gearing. If it had 4.10 gears it probably would redline at freeway speeds!
