From his town of jourdanton to san antonio its about 60 miles. he was testing it at 60 mph and hand calculted 28 mpg
That seemsreal high for a Cummins. Pushing 20/21mpg would be excellent w/ cruise control on for a long distance unloaded on flat ground w/ little wind head. You need to divide the gallons filled upinto the mileage you racked up.

Is that a 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive. I've got a 4X4 averaging 14+ mpg. I might trade it in for a 4X2 if I can double my MPG!

I don't think a short 60 mile drive is long enough to give you a true mpg mileage read out. Was it one way down a very long 6% grade? I've seen my 06 QC 4x4 with 5.9L get 20.5 mpg on a 378 mile trip with 16oz of Lucas fuel additive driving on flat ground and the engine runing at 1600 RPM's. But 28 mpg hand calculated from a 07 Mega Cab 4x4 with a 6.7L engine? I would have to be there to see it as I find it hard to believe a 07 Mega Cab 4x4 with a 6.7L can get 28 mpg at 60 MPH let alone 25 mpg hand calculated while driving it betwen 70 & 80 MPH!

I just purchased a 2006 5.9 and I looked at the 6.7, some dealers were saying it gets 13 MPG, same as new Ford
