The ABS sensor and ring on my grand cherokee are exposed and I've never had any problems. The sensor is basically just a magnet anyway that reads whether the ring is turning and should be able to read through mud and snow.

Good to know the kit worked out nicely. I'd sure like to do one if I hit the lottery!

Lol Steve! The kit cost $1895.00 plus shipping about $50 or $60 as I recall. I've heard of people complaining about a drivetrain vibration in these CTD's but mine never had that so I dont know if this kit helps eliminate that or not. It does have a different feel when turning. The hubs stick out exactly 2 inches from the end of the stock hub caps. Will have to give it a few weeks to get some good mpg numbers but things look really promising there. The hubs:

nice! thanks for adding the pics. It'll be interesting to see how it does with mileage... do you track your mileage tank to tank?

I track it occassionally hand calc it but not every tank. I think I'm doing 18.5 mpg just normal driving with the overdrive and xzt minus the freespins. Really though it's pointless for me to do any hand calcs until I have the dealer recal the odometer for the 285 tires. I don't have a baseline whatsoever on mpg even from back when the stock tires were on there. Some more info on my truck. I'm about to hit 8000 miles and I've never towed anything although I did drive around with 2000 pounds in the bed for a few weeks. So my truck isn't even broken in yet.

With my mods the fact that I don't really know anything about my mpg's is kinda sad and I didn't realize how sad it was til now. I think I'm gonna make a special trip to the dealer Friday morning to get that taken care of once and for all. [8D]

the only thing I dislike about the hubs is how far out they stick from the tires.

that wouldnt be bad if wider rims cover it... any idea how much wider they are?

also what about the EMS kit, do they stick out as far?

well as long as ur numbers beforedon't take into account the bigger tiresand then the ones you do right now witht he freespin dno't compensate for the tires then it's all relative if you know what I mean. the actual mpg number might not be correct but the difference of whether it improved or not will.

it's not hard to compensate for the tires...all you need to do is find out how far off the odometer is over a long stretch of road. I did this using mile markers on the hiway over a 50 mile stretch once when I had my 2000 ram with 285's... turned out I was 8.7% off. I just mulitplied the mileage on the odometer by 1.087 and used that has my true mileage.
