RE: I need gauge help fellas !!
LOL ... I wish I wouldda known that earlier Splat
Story Time ...
I put the new ferrel in and as carefully as I can, I put the gauge back in to the housing. Before I do though, I start the truck and stick the line into my ear just to see if I could hear anything. Sure enough, it sounds like SOMETHING is going on, so I screw it onto the gauge and put the gauge back in. I fire up the truck and NOTHING. I was like Clark Griswald kicking his reindeer out on his front lawn screaming all kinds of naughty words. Then I'm like "Well, since it's in I might as well go out and get the bulbs I need". As I drive away I look over and the boost gauge IS MOVING !! It was then that I realized that it drops to zero at idle and it's only when theres a load on it does it begin to move.
WHOO - HOO .... time for a TEST !!
Up onto 95 I go and I MASH it !! I watch this thing swing from the left all the way to the top but once it gets near 15 it starts wiggling all over the place like my highschool prom date. Is that normal?
It looks like my EGT's sit around 600, but I'm AMAZED at how fast it goes up and down just a couple of hundred degrees !!
Fuel Pressure no matter how hard I mash it seems to stick right around 13lbs
BADD AZZ !!!

I'm talking about the rubber boots that go between the tubeing, turbo, intercooler, and intake horn. if your only getting 15lbs I bet one is leaking. you should be getting around 24-26lbs stock.

Do you think it's a loose clamp, or a split boot ( if that's possible ) ??

you got it. . .just follow the turbo outlet going twards the intercooler. . .there will be two of em there. and the same on the other side. wouldnt hurt to pull them off and get a good look at them. EGT, boost, tranny temp, and other gages will tell alot about how an engine is running.
