intake baffles
Does anybody know how I can get the baffles out of the intake tube.... without just breaking them up to get them out??? Kinda looks like it comes apart, but if it doesn't come apartI don't want to just pull on it untill it breaks.
well... I was actually talking about the ones in the tube going down before the turn into the turbo. But what you just said answered my next question. Thanks dude. Youhaven't happened to have removed the onesi was originally talking about, have you??
No I didnt, I bought an air raid and it came with a new tube. I heard some post bout it tho. I guess you have to cut em out. cut the sides with side cutters then pull them out. Good luck with it.
I got your PM
the baffels in the intake down tube can be take out easily, and realy make the turbo whistle. all you need to do is have a band saw or dremel handy. cut off just the very ends of the tube so you can still put it back in. once you cut through the ends just tap it out with a hammer, take a damp rag and wipe the inside out, then re-install with the silencer ring gone and listen to that baby sing.

Nice!!! Thanks drew.
Hey one more question - So there is like a tube inside of an outer tube? When I look down in there I see the baffles and then around the out side there are about 10 rings that are evenly spaced down the inside of the tube, so the tube with the rings and baffles in it are going to slide out of a larger outer sleeve/tube?

for the most part. . yea, you got it.
the outer ridge is actualy where the whole thing was 'welded' together into one piece. remove that ridge and you remove the welds and it will slide out. .with some persuasion
