hey guys, is have a 2002 ctd 2500 ram...i added a 4" turbo downtube, to a 5" adapter to 5" back to 5" y-pipe and 5" stacks. (totally open no restrictions) also installed the edge juice w/ attitude programmer, and removed stock intake box and put on a bully dog air filter (installed on stock intake hose)...why doesnt my truck smoke ? its an automatic tranny also.it doesnt smoke nearly as much as any other truck thats diesel i see. i really cant figure this out

 

Not enough fuel ??

I was under the impression the fuel = smoke. Have you upgraded your sock lift pump yet?

 

Stack the edge with a smarty, just watch the egts though.

 

Mine smokes on level 3. If I put it on level 5 it really smokes!

 

I hate to be the party buster - - but isn't it a good thing that it dosen't smoke?

Isn't the smoke we put out why the eco freaks are constantly yelling about nasty diesels?

 

i mean it smokes a little on 3 and level 4 and 5 obviously...but not thick black nasty smoke i aways see from other trucks. i want it to smoke more and no i havne not changed my stock lift pump, im at 52k miles so i dont feel the need to yet. maybe its breathing to well, maybe ill but my stock air box back on ? choke it a little bit haha.

 

auto doesnt smoke as much i think. i have the same problum. untill i put my chip on 5 and mash the throttle.
