I'm looking at buying a used TST PowerMAX CR R37AP. Does anyone have expirence with this setup on 04.5-06 trucks? Will there be any problems buying a used unit? Any questions I should ask before I buy it? Thanks

 

find out the SN of the box, if you ever want the s/w upgraded to the R49 programming, you need s/n's 5000 and up to do it. I should come with the remote, egt probe & 2 wiring harnessesas well as the main box.

I bought mine used... had no problems for the first 7~8 months I used it, then I got an error code 0031 which ment the red wire on the egt probe was not working. They did a s/w update to it and fixed it. at the same time I upgraded to the R49 programming...

well, with my tst upgraded right now, I have a box that will grow with me & my mods... if I ever do much more to it. you never know. I really like the way my truck is running right now and like I mentioned in another thread... a turbo upgrade & head studs might be it.

 

if it's an AP model it's already got the new programming. I bought my TST used, I just have the standard program though. . love the thing
