man that was peaceful... that area is f'n awesome. camped at the forest service campground which is in between the two lakes... no-one nearby and only 2 other campers out there farther up the trail. It was awesome. We camped along the Canyon Creek which connects the two lakes that are up there, hiked down stream from the campground and found an awesome spot for Louie to swim at... a nice sized pool fed by a small cascade coming out of one of the lakes. Really nice. today we headed out the back way to see how long it would take and it ends up being slightly quicker going the long way. definately not as scenic but I figured the little woman might not be back on that part of the trail again so she & Jr should see it.
