Default Battery Tender Junior

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram with A 5.9 Cummins. This truck is stored for long periods of time and I would like to hook it up to an existing Battery Tender Junior. Can I "jump" both batteries to the one battery tender or do I need two seperate ones. I am guessing I need seperate ones but I wanted to check with you guys before I went out and bought another one.

You should only need one, it should charge both. Diesel Demon has a setup to charge his batteries and I'm sure he'll be along directly.

One will do them both since both batteries are connected to each other. I just did this mod myself .... check it out

can you get a pic of the top view of this thing. I dont see how you close the hood and drive around with this thing hooked up. did you put some sort of bracket in?

This is the only other pic I have of it right now.

If you look, you'll see what looks like chrome straps at the top and bottom of the charger. They are the brackets that you mount it with. The one on the top wraps down the back and joins the one on the bottom and there are two holes in it for the bolts. It really works out great !!

Why do you need to store your truck for long periods? And mayfair, if your truck is your daily driver, then why do you need to to have your batteries charging? I have both of my jetski'splugged in all winter. I installed a battery charger on them, and then got a water proof socket and placed it on the back of the jetski for me to plug into.

Sorry, I forgot about this thread and thus I forgot about taking top pics. Do you still need them?

I installed the charger moer for winter use than anything else. Diesel Demon got me started on it. I first fell in love with his re-locating of his engine heater from the front of his truck to the rear. Since I back into my driveway I too wanted to relocate mine. When I asked him how he did it, he mentioned that he also added a battery charger in the mix figuring that since he had it plugged in and was heating the engine, he might as well also charge the batteries.

Made sense to me

I used a 3 way outlet. In one outlet I plugged the heater and in one of the others the charger.

Here ya go ...
