My girlfriend was born and raised in CO so I'm going to take her on a canoe trip into the boundary waters of northern MN. Whenever I told her CO didn't have any water she would always try to tell me that it had lakes, so I figured I would show her what I meant. Hopefully the weather is nice and the fishing is good, regardless it should be a fun trip. I'm heading out tomorrow evening and should be back by the weekend or so, don't get too crazy while I'm gone.

It was a good trip. The weather wasn't the greatest, but my girlfriend caught her biggest fish ever, go figure all she had ever fished for was trout in CO. She got a 25.5 inch northern which made her really happy. I caught the biggest bass I had ever caught at a buddies cabin we stayed at for a few days on the way back. It was a little over 20 inches, which for MN is really good. I saw one that made the one I caught look small though, if I would have gotten that one it would be going on the wall. My buddies lake has all kinds of huge fish. His uncle caught a 60 inch muskie out of it and the DNR was doing whatever they do and got a 17 lb walleye and it is pretty common to catch 8 to 10 lb walleye. I'm pretty sure the state record small mouth is in there as well after this last week. I don't have any pictures of her fish because my camera got wet from some big waves, but I do have this picture of the bass that I caught.

 

My girlfriend got 2 nice ones too!!!

Where about's is your buddies cabin? I've wanted to get up to the boundry waters for many many years, but never have taken the trip. I hear the scenery is awesome.

 

Lol, no, I did not catch them in the shower. It was early morning and I was getting ready for work and I threw a few casts out back, and got the bass. Oh, and Mayfair, yes I am in Florida, Sunrise to be exact. I am here untill the 24th when I am going back to ohio.
