now I dont think my LSD setup is any different than the next guys. . .however I can get both of my rear tiresto grab no problem one will start to slip at first, however the other generaly catches up in no time. the front is just an open diff setup, however when in 4wd I can feel it binding up when turning on a surface that doesnt let the tires slip.

Maybe you could offer up a test vehicle?? If it was free, they could borrow my truck anytime.

Well, they might fix something that breaks, but you drive and report back to them so the fuel is on you.

the reason for the post was to find a way to prevent getting stuck like I did... passenger side tire has no traction so no torque is transfered to the other wheel... having a locker would have fixed that...

ARB is still working on a gear set for our 11.5 axels. . .the release date just keeps getting pushed back.

Steve, I have heard if you apply the e-brake a little bit it will cause the diff to lock up getting both tires to spin.

Try brake throttle modulation next time. When you get stuck, apply the brake fully with the truck in gear. now press on the accelerator until your RPMs are around 2K. Ease off the brake until the truck starts to move AND HOLD THE BRAKE THERE, do not release the brake completely (the truck should be in 4wd hi or low). All four wheels should be turning, even if one or two are off the ground. Continue crawling along with your feet on the brake and accelerator until you've cleared your problem. This doesn't damamge your engine, tranny or brakes and should work (haven't tried it on a Ram yet). I used to teach it on Humvees, cherokees, grand cherokees, and Xterras, etc.as a military contractor. Appearantly its a safety feature if you lose a brake rotor and apply the brakes, you won't pull intoa ditch.

I think the E-brake thing is for us manuals. We never used manuals at work so I never practiced that technique. I'll have to give it a shot, sounds like the same principle.

Hey Shaun, thanks for the tip... I'll have to go find a place to practice... that would have gotten me out for sure if all wheels would turn.
