Default I AM IN LOVE!!!

so when i turned 16 (2 years ago) i just wanted a truck... now that i have broadened my horizens i realize how sick turbo diesels are and theres no better then a cummins!!.. i plan on getting a 24 valve cummins 5.9, probly an 03 or 04,as soon as i can afford it.. now im going to do mostly street driving but i want a lift on it and i think the kore chase suspensionsystem (i want to live in the southwest later in life)with fiberglass fender flares and bedsides look amazing but thats not wat im getting at.. its performance.. im pretty fixed on the banks ram air intake, but im still undecided on a programmer, i was thinking either the edge juice or bully dog puppy pack thing and was wondering on which is not necisarily better but wat all of your opinions are on them, also does anyone run that diablo predator one, i read an article on it nd it sounded like it was pretty nice but also just want some opinions.. and i am not sure for exhaust, im pretty sure i want 5" but def a turbo back.. and then a cfm+ intake manifold.. those would be the first initial upgrades.. later i want to run bigger injectors and propane injection as well.. im also sure there will be other things as well.. i just cant believe the hidden power in turbo diesels and am absolutly amazed by them.. thanks for any and all input guys.. I LOVE THIS FORUM

In my opinion Banks is way overrated. I will never run anything Banks on my truck. I didn't see gauges listed anywhere. Gauges are always the first mod in my opinion. Also with all that power, you are going to need some tranny work done. Remember, your wallet will empty pretty darn fast.

KORE won't give you a big lift, only 3.5"F/1.5"R. I have the chase series and its a nice setup. The bullydog Power pup is nice, but I'm looking at changing over to TST or Edge (gives you room to grow). As far as exhaust go, you won't need 5" until you go over 500whp (if I remember correctly) but over-kill doesn't hurt. The Magna-flow 5" turbo-back into dual 4" is nice, I've been running it for almost a year now.

Whatever you do, install gauges first. Its a great way to warn you if your set-up is killing your engine. If you're looking to race with your new power, you need an auto. My father's stock auto is much quicker than my modded 6spd is. also, you'll need to upgrade the tranny to deal with your power adders.

Good luck when you move on to diesel.

yea yea guages def too sorry lol if i got the edge doesnt it have a digital display of boost, egt, and up to 2 more things? if i had that then wat other guages should i get?... so can the bully dog not be stacked with anything? yea i was excited and forgot about the trans and all that.. if i were to buy a 5" exhausteven under 500rwhp would it hurt untill i made that? i would be getting an auto, i love manual but i think its better to have a auto for my kind of driving.. the predator diablo programmer when i read about it in an article also said if u stack it with another one of there products you can gain up to 200rwhp.. that caught my attention.. banks claims that there intake gives 40hp, is that an average gain for intakes? wat intakes do you all run and wat was was ur hp gain? does anyone have propane injection? or water-methanol? wondering which one would be better, i know propane gives you more power than water-methanol but idk maybe theres ones better for me than the other.. also does anyone have the cfm+ intake manifold? i read an article in a mag and they installed one on a cummins and i was wondering if it performed as well is it looks.. just want some more opinions/info.. thanks alot so far guys

someone here has the CFM manifold.. I dont remember who... I have the ATS manifold and like it. my 1st impression was wow, doesnt have to downshift to pass now (on flat 2 lane roads)which told me there was a bump in low end torque as advertised.

Take a good look at the TST powermaxCR... I have it and love it, can give up to 190 hp + 600 ft lbs of torque if the truck is setup right. Honestly for daily driving... (with an automatic tranny) a 60~75 hp bump is more than enough to make you happy. knowing that with the push of a button, more is on tap will even make you happier...

My sonwas driving my truck up into the Sierra's camping a couple of days ago and I quote him "Damn, I love this truck..." I responded "huh?" "Dad, the power in this thing is incredible..." as we're going up a steep grade and it doesnt miss a beat. I of course had the box turned down to timing only when he's behind the wheel. Imagine his response if it was turned up...

definately... actually I think I may let him do it so he knows what if feels like behind the wheel. The other thing here too is he'll never be behind the wheel w/o me there... he's got his own truck.
