I was wondering if I could cut the muffler out of my truck. I know I can't remove the cat but unsure about the muffler.

 

Someone posted a while back about removing the muffler. Did not make much of a difference, since the muffler is straight thru. I have seen some decent dual setups on ebay.

 

hmm.... I'm not sure. I have never looked under a 6.7L before [sm=confused06.gif]. What all is under there? Is it a cat then a muff and then a particulate trap? Or maybe the particulate trap is one with the cat? Well regardless, I think it would be ok to get rid of the muffler, andeven if it is straight through I'm sure you will still be able to hear the difference .
