heavy duty bumper/grill guard
Hey guys,
new CTD owner here. I am looking to purchase a heavy duty grill/bumper guard for my 07 3500 mega and need some suggestions. I am looking for a functional one more than asthetically pleasing one. I drive everywhere and have nearly plowed into more deer/cows then I care to remember. I searched some from Big Tex, Ranch Hand, And UTE...any other reccomendations?

Frontier makes a lot of functional, yet good looking grill guards as well. I an earlier post, I was asking if there was one out there that did not cause one to loose the tow hooks. I'm still searching myself herein West-Central Texas where I seea lot of Ranch Hand and Frontier grill guards and bumper replacements. Both look exceptionally good on the Dodge. Let me know what you come up with.

the ranch hand replacement bumper price is easier to swallow for me. anyone actually hit anything with one mounted? Im pretty confident that the buckstop would be a quality products...but it gets into nearly the 2k range shipped. Whereas the ranch hand replacement bumper is 800 or so as mentioned above and is local to me....

Mine is made by T3 Equipment in Fort Worth. I am really happy with it. Especially the headlight wraparounds-they have a metal bracket that is welded to the bumper to prevent the guards from flexing. The only thing I don't like is I have not really found a good place to mount some tow hooks. Price is around what a Ranchhand bumper costs. I just didn't want a Ranchhand because so many people have them.

Just got back from the truck accessory store. Frontier makes a new(er) model that allows you to keep the tow hooks in the same location they are now. Ranch Hand has a design that allows the tow hooks to be repositioned on the uprights. He recommended the Ranch Hand for the Dodge and I like it because it actually attaches to the tow hook location and seems to be more rugged. He didn't have it in stock, but it will be here Tuesday and run $425 installed including tax.
