the TPS is the actual throttle. . .from 03 up these trucks run from electronics not cables. just remember, when you put the thing in you are going to have to calibrate it to the computer. turn the truck to on. . .but do not start, then slowly push the excelerator to the floor. then let go and turn the key to off. then go for a full start and see what happens.

I thought you had to bring the pedal back up slowly too.

If I remeber right all the big rig pedals will snap back hard enough it screws up the calibration. Been soo long since I've replaced a tps sensor I can't remeber all the details.

On the left side of the page and a little way down, you can download the service manual for your truck. I use it all the time. It will take you a little while to find what you are looking for, but it will give you a location and what it takes to replace the TPS.
