new clutch
A dual mass flywheel has to pieces of steel. One mounts to the crank, the other the clutch bolt to. I'm not sure what dodge uses to connect the two halves, but ford used to use springs. I've seen quite a few fords that have had their flywheels blow apartsoI don't like them.
jake. . .it uses the same method. . .a huge spring wrapped around the outside of the flywheels. . .
all it does is dampen the inherent shakieness of the engine for a smoother ride and smoother shift engagement and ease the stress on the syncro's.
