Change your air filter!!!
I talked to my dad about this and we both called BS. He said he thinks it is piston blow by, and that would explain your internal seals getting sucked in or whatever. You need to find a dealer that is willing to fight for you (Yeah, hard, I know) but if you can get someone to go directly to cummins and say hey, he's a good customer and im trying to keep him happy or something like that. Here, talk to Anita over at monroe dodge in monroe, michigan. Tell her Marae Kamines son sent you and she will take care of you, I am sure she will do something. Call 1-800-542-4735 or Anita@monroedodge.com
Thanks for all the help and recomendations. My left eye almost popped out of its socket from the twitching when he told me it was a dirty filter that had caused it all. From the moment I talked to the dealer, I had a feeling this wouldn't go well. I explained that we (six people total) were on a vacation trip and didn't have lodging or transportation without my truck and camper, and it still took them two days just to look at it. I know it never made it into their shop (EVER) because it was still parked in the same spot at the same angle where the tow truck dropped it off at.
Oh, and the tow truck could only take two people, so we had to call a taxi to pickup my brother and his family off the interstate. It was a one mile trip to the next exit where they were dropped off at a McD's. They never recieved a price until my brother stuck his head back in at the stop after everyone was out. They charged him $60!!! For one mile!!! Thats how this weekstarted and it never got better.

Not yet. Had to pay the tow company to flat bed me home tomorrow so I can atleast go to work with the truck near home (couldn'tleave itwith these guys in a different state). I'll look at it myself this weekend and talk to the local dealer personally on Monday. We just our 06 2500 from them two weeks ago so they might be more helpful.
Document Document Document. If you still have the air filter in question find an enviromental testing place they should be able to test it to see how clogged it actually is ( I think they call it pressure drop on filters). Then get someone to put in writing how much pressure drop it would take to cause the seals to go. Take pictures of the air cleaner, the intake, the turbo, the intercooler tubes, everthing. I believe like Jake said, IF that is the case there will be evidence there. Gather your information and keep it in a file ( All originals ). Good Luck and keep us posted.
Yeah Drew, my father brought his new 2500 by today. Its just me left in town and I'll ride back with the flat bed driver tomorrow morning. I'll have updates on Monday night (need a break to look around the truckand see my lady friend back from NM).
I know what you were thinking and I really appreciate it Drew.

I'd like to know if the filter really was clogged enough to cause that kind of damage, how is it the truck still ran with no indication of a problem??? Someone else also brought up a good point. You may want to check out the yellow filter indicator on the filter housing, if it is defective, then there is your way to get the dealer to foot the bill. Their faulty indicator caused the filter to appear to be OK when it really wasn't. I know that mine is a POS and never has worked since I drove the truck home.
Do what NickBeek said, make sure you document all of the costs, taxi cab. Stay, tow truck (all of em) point out that you dont' think that the truck went into their shop ONCE. See if you can get your money back. Because basically what they did in my opinion is "Oh well we don't wanna deal with it, what's a good excuse...." Fight this man. Get opinions from other mechanics. do your best to find bigger company's due to the fact that they'll have more sway. Also make sure they're diesel mechanics due to the fact that the dealer might try and go along the lines of. OH well what do they know. Also point out that Oil pressure never dropped. Problem there. Also point out that there are no visable leaks on engine. and point out like CowboyBob said if the sensor on the airbox (if you have a stockairbox) is bad that They should fix it due to the fact that if the sensor was never bad. The filter woudl have never been that dirty so it ends up being THEIR FAULT, making them liable for all expenses incurred. Call an autorney after everythings documented. Receipts etc. etc. Make the dealer show proof that they took it into the shop and did a detailed inspection of the vehicle including electronic and mechanical. Because if the oil pressure gauge never dropped then it's DODGE'S fault how are you post to stop before permenate damage is done to the engine if the oil pressure reads normal. Also why were there no warning lights.... All key points that if the dealer gives you tons of crap. Give them tons of crap on why THEIR **** DIDN'T WORK TO HELP PREVENT THIS! Man I'm mad just reading about it.
