new smaller cummins?

i remember reading somewhere that the new dodge lineup in the future will offer a smaller diesel for the 1500s.......
does anyone know anything about this?.......

'09 hopefully. . .a 4.6L V6 and a 5.6L V8. the V8 is supposed to push around 300hp and 550tq. the V6 I believe is rated at 225hp and 460tq.

the smaller diesels are the mercedes units. they are now used in the Dodge Sprinter.

right now they are still shoing the pos hemi and 2 others engines... http://www-5.dodge.com/vehsuite/dispatch.do

you are right about the sprinter engines. . .however these are cummins engines that have been on the test stand since 04 and are beign developed just for the 1500

That is what I have been reading, that these are cummins. I can't wait to get the wife a Durango with a cummins!![8D]
