Default FIPK Oilless Elements

I am about to buy a FIPK. I was reading the sept 07 edition of 4 wheel and offroad mag and they have a few in there that have ads. Some are oilless and that sounds pretty nice since people here talk about properly oiling these things is critical.

One was from AEM www.aempower.com
Another from Banks www.bankspower.com

I have heard people talking bad about the K&N's so I thought I would try to get some thoughts on these others as well as the K&N.

Oh and how does adding one of these effect your warranty?

Thanks

Would you recommend a manufacture that you feel is superior?

It comes down to personal preference, the K&N isn't hard to clean an oil but it takes a long time to do, your truck will be down for a while while you let the filter dry after washing it (unless you do something to speed it up).
I personally LOVE my K&N, it is a snap to put on and take off (for ease of getting at the oil filter or things like that if need be), had issues with my 5.9l gasser taking 30 min to take off, but not the CTD kit. Also, I have never had any issues with proper oiling or anything for that matter, and you only really need to clean it ever 10k miles or so (I have let it go that long once, and it was fairly clean, but dirtier then I would prefer it to be...) I usually clean it every other oil change (I do those relatively often too... which has been 3-4k miles).
I am wondering what bad things have been said about them (besides the usual complaint about having to oil them).

What about warranty issues?

Talk to your dealership, I personally never worried about it, since I got mine with 93k and got a non-factory warranty that didn't seem to care what I do to it (so long as what I do doesn't cause the repair required)

Here's another air intake test on Dodge's that should be read:

http://www.dieselpowermag.com/tech/g...ers/index.html

Testing has also showed that while the aftermarket air filters might start out a few inches of water less restrictive than paper,
both oiled gauze and foam filter 'clog up' at a much faster rate:
