Snow plow 2500/3500
i just bought a 7'6" boss HD plow and this winter will be my first plowing with it. i was going to make a post like this one of these days but jsaunders beat me to it! i have been told by a few people that diesel trucks being that the negine is heavier that the plow is to much weight in the front. i have seen many diesels w/ plow harnesses so i said why not. there anything i should do to the front suspension to make it stronger or it shouldent be a big deal?
you just need to look at the max load for the front axel, then see how much the plow weighs in at. you should be close to max, however I would be more concerned about the frame than anything.
Thanks guys- Yea I own all fords (so far) 2-F350- (1-9' fisher,1- blizzard 810), 1- F550(blizzard 8611)
I really don't want to use anything smaller than a 9' blade- I understand it will work the front end some more but that is what maitenance is for.
KDTRL- what size X-blade are you running?
Thanks
Joel
