Default Mileage question and several others.

The new Dodge Cumming engine with the 6 speed auto 4x4 long bed etc. What are people getting for mileage on the highway just as it is without the added weight of what I am asking below?
We are also considering buying a norther-lite camper 9 footer for it. do we need to do any enhancement to the suspension for the camper and/or have a transmission cooler installed?
Any suggestions welcomed.

I'm gunna move this to the Diesel section

anyway, early on 14-16mpg unloaded, 10-12+ depending on load.

just remember, these engines need some time to break in, the mileage on my 5.9L realy didnt get good till after 20K. from early reports the 6.7's are just the same

as far as towing. . .just get the 5th wheel installed and have fun!!!

My mileage is ok, maybe 1-2 better than what drew said for loaded and unlooaded

9 foot eh... It dosen't even need wheels and our trucks would still pull that pretty good .

Judging by they question you asked, you probably don't own one yet.... so I just wanted to say get one and you will NOT regret it, greatest truck/vehicle I have ever owned!!

This past weekend was my first long trip with my 05 2500. I've had this new to me truck for a month now and it has 25,000 on it. I was getting 17.5 highway lightly loaded. That was with a lot of drag with a kayak loaded on the cab. Next test is with the boat hooked up. 21' center console with a 150 outboard. I don't think I'll be getting 17.5 with that on.
