Stack or no Stack
Considering on running a single stack on the passenger side of my truck. Only problem is at that point it'd be a straight pipe and it'd be pretty loud when romped on. I'd only run a 3 1/2 inch due to the fact it's straight. Any suggestions? I guess I could run my monster exhaust up to directly under the cab if theres room if it's too loud. I know that my monster exhaust at lower rpm's 1800-2200 is really loud but then at the higher rpms such as 2300-2800 It just kinda quiets down. Reason I don't really mind if it's straight piped under the truck due to the fact is that the truck acts as a barrier to keep the sound down towards the ground where as straight pipe is kinda up in the air so it can go everywhere. Any suggestions.
grand rock also sells muffler inserts for the stacks. Mine is straight piped with the Aero and is still pretty darn loud. If you really want it quieter you'll need the inserts and muffler under the truck.
DO IT!!!! I've been thinking about doing a single stack on my truck for a long time.... I'm just waiting to figure out a clever way to still keep my tool box and make it look good. If you do it post some pics so I can see what it will look like before I do it

p.s. 6" single stack dude, also it will never be too loud

Well Where i'm going to run it it won't have enough room for a 6'. I'll probably run 3 1/2 maybe 4' so I can still have my guard. It's not going to be in the bed, it's going to be on the front corner of the flatbed Behind-besides the cab. I haul hay and misc. stuff and if it's in the bed I don't want to worry about having a bottom bale come up and hit it or something like that. So I figured most logical place is to put it there. Theres enough room and i think it'll look good as good can be with a stack, but will take some thought process on engineering it.
I see (I didn't read your sid to see Flatbed), I think it will look sweet. Will a passenger accidentally rub up on it getting in the truck, or will the guard you are talking about take care of that problem?

There's about 3 inches from the door to the end of the pipe. So i Figure if I give about 1'-1 1/2' of space between the guard and the pipe it should be cool enough with clearance between the door. Even if they bump up against it I can't imagine it being over 100 degrees. That being said even if it is a little more If you touch say a wrench or something that's been left out in the sun those are hot as crap. Probably woudln't be comfortable to touch but it won't hurt anyone. Unless your dump and you reach up above the guard and touch the stack itself. "Oooo pretty tractor flap let me touch OOHHH WOW THAT'S HOT!!!"
