Default Gauge recommendation/location

Hello all, I have a 2007 CTD 5.9L quad cab. I am looking at putting some gauges in, specifically pyrometer, boost, and fuel pressure. does anyone have any suggestions on which are better/best. I was looking at DM at isspro or autometer - see here: http://www.dieselmanor.com/gauges/ga...odge-optix.asp. didn't like the look of dipricol. and i really am partial to analog. Also i was looking at a mounting option, I like having the hand pull on the a-pillar and i don't think you can have that if gauges are mounted there. Anyone have experience with overhead/widshield pod or dash mount. Thanks

Kingdog put them up over his mirror and he loves em. If they offered a mount like that for my year, that's what I would have gone with. Looks pretty slick.

the Dipricol is just about a exact match to the OEM gauge illumination but, for the money aren't all that. The Isspro's are the next closest thing to the OEM lighting. The problem is for you ( unless you want all black gauges ) Isspro doesn't make a FP gauge in white. I preferred white to match the OEM gauge color. The Isspro illumination is just a bit darker than OEM.

Anyway, my vote is for Isspro. If you really are wanting the FP and want white, you could get that one from Dipricol.

I have mine mounted on the A-pillar cause I don't care for the handle. If I need something, there's always the steering wheel :-)

If not there, check Isspro site.
Iv got the Isspros on a pillar mount and they are white face.

I was thinking the dash mount too because I want the handle to haul my fat azz in the door.

I'm sorry, I stand completely corrected. It was the Rail Pressure gauge I was thinking of. I know they didn't have it because I just talked to them at Indy
last month. They said they had no plans of making one... sorry

Now I'm confused.... From the picture it would appear the do have a white fp guage. Is it just false advertising, or did they not have them when you went to get yours?
