Default 2001 4x4 Automatic

Brief info on truck: 2001 Ram2500, 4x4 Automatic, lifted 4" with 37"s
The other day I was stopped at a red light. When I pressed the gas I got a clunk, like it popped out of gear, and the truck seemed to be in Neutral. No matter the RPMs it wouldn't move. I put it up in Park and tried again with the same results. The only way to get it to move forward is to put it in 1; but even then it rocks side to side (creeping forward) until about 10mph, then it's like nothing is wrong. Going back up to drive at about 20 will let it go through the gears find. Even slowing down is ok, as long as I don't stop. Reverse seems to work ok. If it was a gradual thing I would think bands/clutches. Checked fluid (will do again tomorrow) but it showed full and looked/smelled clean. I even tried it in 4WD mode with the same results.
I tried this TSB ( http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1994/21-24-94.htm) without any luck.
Man, owned the truck less than a month & 1500 miles...
Anybody have any ideas?

Maybe a bad TC. Could be that your oneway clutch for your stator is bad.

Would taking it to a decent tranny shop and having them run the tests for correct line pressure show what it is?
This is the first auto tranny I've owned in 12 years, and it's killing me already.

One thing first, clean all your grounds on your truck. These trans's have issues because of them. I had a problem with mine and all the grounds looked clean except the underside of one of the bat terminals. It had a little corrosion, cleaned it up, problem solved.
