Default Autostart for 2001

2001 dodge diesel, autostart does not wait for the glow plug to be warmed up. Any ideas???

What model are you using? I know on my mini van I have the viper 771 and it will try to start for a couple seconds, then wait a few seconds and then start. takes two times because I drive it maybe once everyother week.

Most of them will have a programmable delay. You press the button, it 'turns the key forward' for XX seconds, then tries to start. Your's may need to have the delay set to like 10-15 seconds.

You don't have any glow plugs in your 01.
