Nice job Steve. Oh btw on the gods way of "buy a ford dumbass" Umm.. If you hadn't noticed. Dodge's do get stuck in situations too. they're not invinsible. I've had mine stuck twice. Is that god's way of saying "Buy a chevy?" I doubt it. I just think in certain situations, you hit a soft spot. Loose traction. Whatever and you get stuck. I'm pretty sure you'd take help from anyone. And from the looks of that picture. They were in a spot that I can guaruntee my truck would have gotten stuck in. That looks to be a pretty nasty spot from the pic. I reckon it might not look as bad in person. Or could look worse. Sorry, not too keen on cockiness. Because useually in my expierence what happens. Then you get in a bad situation. And people are like. Ummm... screw off. Can't imagine you saying Screw off Ford/Chevy boy, I don't want none of your help. I'm in a dodge. if you were stuck and couldn't get out by yourself.

After closer inspection it looks like they tried to cross over. The situation they were in is bad. And if I did hte same i'd probably end up worseespecially due to the fact that my suspension doesn't articulate near as much. did they break anything on their suspension? U-Joints? But straight up that lil inlcine doesn't look to terribly bad on the pic. Could be wrong. Is that like tie wire with the rock? Clever. I used a concrete smoother that some mexicans loaned me when I got stuck in the sand to start diggin out worked ok. Until my buddy got there. Wanna talk about dodge people. Ok. This is great when I got stuck in the sand. A white truck. 04 dodge. Sat there and watched me. After my buddy pulled up. They decided to mozy over. Got out. Laughed. Laughed that a chevy guy tried to pull me out and couldn't getenough traction in 2wd(his front u-joint was going out like a 83 chevy). I was like wtf. You didn't even come over to offer help yet your going to laugh at the chevy guy. Made me irritated. At least he stopped and offered to try.

that's messed up, they should have come over from the start. On our trail run we had my friend in the gmc break off to help 2 stranded atv'ers... he's alot like me and will lend a hand to anyone who needs it...

on the ford, what happend was he was already part way up the incline in a straight line (not as indicated in the pic) and he lost traction, when he let off the gas and rolled back he slid towards the passenger side and there was just enough of a chunk of dirt to send his right rear up the embankment. it went bad to worse real quick. once he was up there, his open diffs were no help as the tires had no traction.

Anybody can get stuck in any 4x4, and it usually doesn't have anything to do with engine power. I got stuck in my own snow-covered driveway a few years agoina Chevy K2500. I hated the transfer case on that truck, because the front wheels had to turn about 1.5 revolutions before the hubs would lock. Mine got stuck right in the driveway before the hubs locked, and I was screwed. The rear tires had slid toward a gully that's next to my driveway, so I stopped trying to get unstuck lest I get it REALLY stuck by dropping a tire into the gully. Fortunately my neighbor happened to be driving by in his diesel Ford Excursion 4x4. We put a strap between his front tow hook and my trailer hitch. My nice neighbor pulled me out with no problem. If he ever got that big Excursion stuck I would do my damnedest to help him.
