Default 98 12-v ctd abs, brake on v10 ctd conversion

i converted my 98 v10 to a 12-v ctd. ever since the abs and brake lights are always on but come on a few min. after startup. speedo works fine, and wires appear to be ok, conversion was done right, except for the wiring to the transmition, the only one i could find was automatic harness, and i have a manual....could this be a porblem????? is there a vacume sensor? i had to disconnect one (i guess it would be a vent solinoid) running to the fuel tank that was also hooked to vaccume on the v10.

So your truck had/has 4 wheel abs? Have you happened to have a look on the top of your rear diff, there is a sensor for your abs for the rear axle, and the wiring from the axle up to the frame is a comman place for shorting/breaking.

Lets see pics, I was going to do this to my 2 V10s before I traded them off for the truck I actually wanted

well the way i understand that sensor also controls the speedo (which works with no problems) is this correct??? i was thinking about changing it any way though...thanx for the info.O...and yes it does have 4wheel abs. the conversion was actually farily simple, the v-10s and ctd have the same bell housing and motor mounts. there was really no mods. just had to come up with all the right parts to install, which i did so it actually looks like it came from the factory this way. anything priticular you would like to see pics of.
