Default CTD idle ???

Hey guys or gals I'm woundering if anyone can tell me what RPM a '03 Ram CTD should idle at?? The reason for my question is when I put my truck in drive or reverse the truck makes a jump. Just woundering if anyone could help me out, and if my truck is idling too high is there a way I can adjust it?

Mine idles (when warmed up, and not on high idle) at around 600-800 RPM. I am not 100% certain off the top of my head, I will double check next time I drive if you want. It bumps up when cold to around 1000-1200 range I think (again, that is off the top of my head)

My 01 will kinda kick when I shift like in early morning cause my tranny isnt warmed up. never understood it but all my fluids are ok and once its warmed up it shifts and goes into gear fine.

I think almost all auto trannies have some sorta jump right when they go into drive or reverse. at least every single one I have driven does it. I doubt all of them are messed up.

Mine idles at 750 and you can see what Cummins wants yours to idle at on the white sticker on the side of the valve cover (where the HP is listed). Idle speed is printed right there. I'm not sure about '03's but I know a guy with a late '05 or early '06 that had his truck flashed at the dealer and it now idles at 850. He is royally pissed about it too, and DC refuses to lower it back. BTW, if it bangs into gear and you are still under warranty, I would take it in and complain. That can't be healthy for the rest of the drive line.
