Have any of you guys heard of the remote start interface kit that they sell for the factory sentry key? Does that work, I saw it for like 30 bux the other day on a website.

I'm going to be getting the Viper771 instead of the 791 just because I'm not too worried about the LCD screen remote.

Now that we're talking about, I want to order it, but I'll see if any of you guys have any experience with it before I place my order. I had a remote start on my '01, I got if for 600 with a no-name alarm system. Its pretty cool to have your truck start when people are standing next to it on the phone or whatever, especially with the noise of the 2nd gen. I miss that old POS

The best system out right now is the Compustar system. It has the 2 way paging remote with a 1.5 mile range which is great if you are shopping or even sleeping the remote will sound an alarm to alert you to the problem with the vehicle. Compustar has some of the best quality systems around, better than viper systems (what I hear from pro's anyway). There is a bypass/interface module that saves a lot of wiring time (you save on having to wire lights, door triggers and some ignition wires) and it has a sentry key bypass in it that you program to the truck the same way you would a new key. I installed a remote start/alarm in my last truck, any questions let me know.
