A/C compressor clutch won't kick on
Have you had the pressure checked in your system, running the system with too high or too low of freon will cause heat, more than normal, the heat kills thoseclutches fast, normally overcharged sytems are the major cause, when they cycle with the high pressure, they will slip each engagement, and the heat melts the resin insulation off the windings, then pop, short to ground, its best to have the pressures checked after the system has been running for awhile, not when the system is cold, also check the condenser and make sure there is good airflow, R134 psi rises very quickly when airflow is blocked even slightly, It might sound like a longshot, but I have seen this many times here In my shop. Have it checked thorougly.
