Negative opinion of BHAF
Just install the NAPA 2907 BHAF on my truck and I do not think I like it. The filter is too big for the area that is left over. Mine rubs on the bottom side of the hood and altenator. I tried to move the passenger battery toward the firewall some but only got 1/2 inch out of it. I mounted the intake temp sensor in the rubber elbow but it does not fully seal.
I love all the information on this forum but wish someone would have pointed this out. I just hope I can return the filter now.
P.S. anyone have a upper factory intake rubber elbow they would be willing o part with, mine now has a hole in it and I need to replace it.
Thanks,
Charles

RE: Negative opinion of BHAF
I was going to go with the BHAF and decided not to (for a long while) because of the cost. I think it is a rip for $72 from Napa. I've even heard that some people have got it for around $50 with some type of discount(military, senior citizen, etc.). If they can sell it to one guy for $50 why is it $72 for me? One of the main reasons I don't go to Napa for anything. That and the retards they have running the place here in TN.
I have since found the same exact filter for $38 online and started thinking about it again and decided there just isn't enough space in there on my 01 CTD. SO here I am again, against the idea too.
