Well we are Back
The trip was wonderful (don't ask about the flight home though[:@]). We had great weather. We were able to do some great day trips and see some wonderful things. Visiting the family was lovely. Seeing Mason playing with his GrandFather for the first time almost brought tears to my eyes (any stupid comments about crying girls and I'll kick ya).
Driving overthere was a non-stop oogle fest. The number of vehicles we don't have here is just astonishing. Almost everything has a deisel option. We saw diesel Ford Rangers (about as big of a truck as you'll find sorry guys) and Mitsubishi Warriors.
But I was able to find one Dodge I made Simon slam on the breaks and park so I could run down the street to the gas station and take a picture . The lady was nice about it and stepped out after I snapped the shot. They were driving around Europe from Norway.
I swear I will not complain about the cost of fuel for a while. They run a higher octane gas than we do; low started at 95 for 94.9 pence (cents for the pound) per liter. So lets have a quick math class: 1 liter = .26 gallons and 1 dollar = .50 pounds. So for one gallon of gas you need 3.79 liters for a total of 3.61 pounds. Now lets convert that to US dollars....7.22 a gallon[:'(][:'(][:'(]. We spent more on fuel than I think we did on food.
If you want to see some pictures (I only loaded 127 out of the 769 we took ) feel free to take a wander over to http://picasaweb.google.com/jo.faugh...tland2WeekTrip
