Default Outside Temp Guage

Anybody know how to fix the overhead temp guage? Mine reads -40*f, all the time.

I don't know if it is the sensor, sender, readout... Any ideas?

I know, right! I'm in Texas, so I know it's not really that cold.

I see your sig says your driving a 2001, but there is a TSB for a similar problem in the 2006 model year.

Here is the TSB 08-026-06 for the overhead temperature problem.

Fixed mine by unpluging and replugging the sensor (bad connection)

Mine did that in my '97 Dodge 1500 after I was in an accident... figured out that the sensor was broken. I guess 40 is the default or something...
