Speaking of bad fuel, it's not too uncommon to end up with trash or water mixed in with fuel from a station that is either just filling their tanks from a truck, or very low in their tank level. When changing my fuel filter, I drain the fuel from thefilter housing into a clear glass jar for inspection before discarding it. Just out ofcuriosity, I like to check to see if the filter had caught anything. [/align]
Yeah when i drained the fuel it was clean w/ no water or anything that i could see. The filter on the other hand was blacker than black, is that normal or u think the previous owner never changed it??
I would think that there is a strong possibility that the previous owner had not changed the filter if as you described it as being blacker than black. I change mine every 15k miles and it's color is about a dark grey.
