Should i be able to wiggle my (i think front driveshaft) the shaft that runs from tranny to front differential? I just crawled under it and i can wiggle it side to side maybe .50 to 1 inch.

Sounds sort of like you might have a loose lug nut or rocks in the hub caps. Pop them off and take a look.

Is the slop in the slip joint or the ujoints?

Well, if it's any help I think I finally figured mine out tonight. Looks like I'm losing the rear u-joint. Definately killed it [:@]

Never heard quite this noise from a ujoint before, but there is no question the joints bad.

Strange though, I went over them all about 2 weeks ago during a maintenance period and the all looked and felt fine. This was just a couple days after starting to hear the noise. Quick inspection again tonight out of frustration of being out of options to check and, sure enough, found it bad.
