I have read of one or two turbo issues on the 6.7. I think once they replace it you should be good to go.

What caused the turbo to over boost?

I don't know in the Cummins engine, but in my old Ford the variable vanes would get coked up with soot and stick, the computer would then over command to get what it wanted and then it would over compensate and causeoverboost or stick and grenade (like mine did).

Mine has about 4,700 miles on it, and about a week ago the check engine light has been coming on every time I start it. My Attitude monitor retrieves a code related to the turbo. I guess it's time to bring it in, which is a hassle since I'll have to remove all the Edge stuff.

still wateing for turbo to come in. talk to wrench bender and he seems to think that the turbo is losin the ability to recognize the comp. that is causing it to go into a safe mode.it also eliminante the brake action.

Hildenja, Olkutt, what are you guys getting as far as mileage in your trucks? My dad just bought a new 07 Mega Dually 6.7 and so far the best fuel mileage he has got is 12.5. The truck runs awesome and so far is he is very happy. It only has about 1500 miles on it though. I know that mileage will increase as it breaks in, but I was under the impression it would get about 14-15 during breakin, and 3-5 better after that. How do your trucks compare? Sorry to hear about the problems you're having. Best of luck to you.

I started out around 12 MPG, and it gradually increased. It has leveled out at about 15.5 lately, and I just passed 5,000 miles. Feel free to download my Excel file that I use to track fuel economy and maintenance. Link: http://h1.ripway.com/hildenja/2007RamFuelMaint.xls
