Default another power rear window problem

On my 05 Dodge 2500 quad cab, the right rear window does nothing with the drivers door switch. It will go down with the qaud door switch but not up. I took the wires off the motor and jumped them (reversed them) and pushed the switch in the down position and they roll up. That tells me the motor is good but it's not reversing the power. Why would it not do anything from the drivers door but will go down from it's own door? I took the connectors off and put them back on both doors and wiggled the wires between the doors and cab but did no good. Any ideas?

It might be the driver's door switch, I had that problem on a another truck.

Would that still let the quad door window work one way too?

Mine did, I pulled the switch out , turned it upside down with key on, used a screwdriver between the hot post to find out which one went to that window. If you "jump it between the power and the "bad" window and the window works , then you know it's that part part of the switch. You'll have to push the switch for the window while you're doing this. Hope that helps

I changed rear door switches first...no difference. I got another drivers door switch from a friends truck.....still didn't work. I used a polarity tester and it looks like its working at the drivers switch and at the connector at the drivers door post but when I check it at the rear door post on the other side, it doesn't work. It looks like I have a broken wire or something screwy going on between the two places. Anyone have troubles like that?

I replaced the driver door switch and it worked fine, then sold truck. Sounds like you got a short or maybe it's grounding out between the driver switch.

hey 57ringo, did you ever track down your issue? I seem to be having the exact same problem. Then all of a sudden neither switch worked for that window. On the way to the dealer the driver switch started working and the up on the back door switch wouldn't work but the down would. I replaced rear switch, no difference. It has to be between the two switches. just looking for a place to start looking.
